Flickr Wednesday: Michiel Bechir

I’ve admired Michiel Bechir’s Second Life Landscapes since joining Flickr in 2010

So I’m especially pleased that he agreed to let me showcase his work on Art by Rob Goldstein.

This is from his Flickr Profile:

  1. This is my first view of Michiel Bechir’s work and I’m impressed! The colours are stark and vivid and his treatment of sky and nature is almost surreal. The Matoluta Sanctuary made me gasp as did Passionate Dreams. I also like Nirvana Island with the cloudscapes and the light within the clouds and also reflected in the sea. The final one – Zigana is beautifully handled with the island home and fir trees centred among the glorious cross work of light beams. Just brilliant! Thank you for expanding my horizon with this presentation of M. Bechir’s works, Rob.

    1. There are a number of artists in Second Life whom I respect and admire. I don’t really give SL it’s due as a source of creative inspiration and learning.

Michiel Bechir has a unique voice. I’m glad that you see that….
