  1. Recognizing some of these quotes may have been taken out of context, they still do not paint the politicians in a good light with the exception of the few contrasting ones. The contrast about Elizabeth Warren’s bill and Mitch McConnell’s funding is an example where industries profit off those who they are supposed to be helping including pay-day lenders, for-profit colleges, debt-consolidation companies, e.g.

    1. I try to verify these quotes and if one doesn’t hold up I don’t post it…There was a good Ted Cruz quote in which he speculates on one of the evils of ending slavery and says that if slavery had not been abolished Obama would not be President.

To my great disappointment I could not verify it so it didn’t pass…:)

  2. There’s so much here to like, I don’t know where to begin. As a Kentuckian, Mitch McConnell frustrates me and I’m embarrassed by his putrid policy making, especially considering his current position of extreme power in the Senate. One positive though, is that I am thoroughly encouraged by Francis. He’s progressive and open-minded. It’s about time gods’ representative to earth starts acting more altruistic.

    1. I’ve avoided pinterest because I’ve heard it described as the crack of social media.

No I’m not shilling for Pinterest. πŸ™‚

      1. My wife sends me all kinds of these things. There are some really funny ones out there, and oh so true. I’m not on any social media, well except for here, so I’m not privy to them. She feeds me plenty though. πŸ˜ƒ
