Regarding Trump’s endless stream of blatant lies
What has been drowned out of the news by his own inability to avoid saying something hateful, inflammatory or inane, is Donald Trump’s economic speech in Detroit on Monday. This was supposed to be the reset of his campaign to make him look like a more serious-minded candidate. Our blogging friend Jill Dennison, a CPA by trade, as summarized her thoughts on the economic changes, a link which I provide below called “The Wizard of Trump…Smoke & Mirrors.”
What I want to focus on is the fact a written and read speech by Trump included sixteen untruthful statements. Let’s just call them what they are – lies. A review of Everything Smells Just Like Poke Salad
My plans for a busy day were ruined the moment I downloaded Linda’s new book.
She and her mother have a gift for telling a story.
And it shows.
They took me back to a time and place that made me understand a lot more about my own family, and how they survived the Great Depression of the 1930’s.
They did it with love, devotion to family, tremendous sacrifice, hard work and most of all, a sense of humor.
Thank you for proving that it is possible to put that storytelling tradition in words on a page.
And thank you for ruining my plans of yesterday.
It was a delight.
