He is the way and a way out

–unlock–pull trigger–

“I’m a hustler, he says, I never go back to
the same trick twice for a cigarette!”

As a finale we laugh ourselves to death.

  1. I’m not really sure what to comment here… In a way I see a dark side but then also light in your poem. But maybe I overthink it or don’t pick up on it. I would have loved to comment with an “oh my” as well but maybe an “oh wow” is more like it…

    1. I’m good. It’s an odd poem. Sometimes I’m more interested in the sound and juxtaposition of words than I am in the content. It’s a game to see how far I can stretch the logic of a sentence, if that makes any sense…:)

    1. This comment has haunted me for two days. My mind kept going back to it–
      The reason it haunts me is that I don’t know what you see in the poem…I should put one of those “tell me what you think” lines above my comments box…
