Our ability to choose our elected leaders is an inalienable right we must protect…

“…for the last 241 years, the nation and the citizens have cherished the freedom and liberty upon which this country was founded upon. Many brave Americans have lost their lives to protect that freedom and liberty and lost their lives to protect the freedom and liberties of other peoples around the world. Our ability to choose our elected leaders, as we see fit, is, I believe, an inalienable right that we must protect with all of the resources and authority and power.

“And the fact that the Russians tried to influence resources and authority and power, and the fact that the Russians tried to influence that election so that the will of the American people was not going to be realized by that election, I find outrageous and something that we need to, with every last ounce of devotion to this country, resist and try to act to prevent further instances of that. And so, therefore, I believe, this is something that’s critically important to every American. Certainly, it’s very important for me, for my children and grandchildren to make sure that never again will a foreign country try to influence and interfere in the foundation stone of this country, which is electing our democratic leaders.” Former CIA Director John Brennan

You made my heart smile! It’s been a long time since my heart has quivered. I hope to get an email back soon. Surprise, Chris the super dude warrior who we both met the other day mountain biking in his wheelchair, I’m talking to him about joining the group. He’s the epitome of what our site is about. I’m talking with him today. Say a little wish.

  1. Dear Rob,

The very American attributes that leaders like DDT and President Putin decry are what comprise the very essence of our democracy and what truly makes this country truly great. I’m talking about our rights like a free press where the government can’t censor every word; where I can speak my mind about my elected officials without being thrown in jail or worse; where I can peacefully protest and march without fearing harm unless the Government of Turkey is in the USA; where I can run , support and vote a candidate where for the most part, I have a real choice, where “we the people” can raise our voices to make our legislators accountable.

This is what DDT wants to rob us of, to turn the USA into a third world country.

    Hugs, Gronda

  2. So impressive. It shows you how perilous times are when a former CIA director has to speak out about governmental ethics. Ethics hasn’t typically been a CIA strong point, but I am not going to split hairs. I am just grateful he speaks the truth.

  3. They may have tried but they didn’t influence me!
I totally agree with him. I just personally was not influenced.

      1. Yes, exactly. Not influenced by their propaganda. I do believe we recognize these things. Abuse survivors.
I think I can recognize manipulation in all forms in ways that others don’t. I see it immediately. Once you have lived it you recognize it.
