FBI Tracking Russian Bots On Day Of US Elections

Long before the FBI, CIA, DNI and NSA figured out that Russia was bombarding social media with an avalanche of disinformation, fake news and bots, a fellow blogger, Rob Goldstein of Art by Rob Goldstein.com had been sounding the alarms about this issue for several months in advance of the US presidential election day. And others including myself picked up on the mantle.

Tidbit: In months July/ August 2017 watch groups have noted a 5300% increase in Russian bots/ trolls demanding the firing of the NSA secretary, General H.R. McMaster.

  1. And yet much of Trump’s base in the face of such madness remains fired up by his incessant lies and believes him when he diverts attention away from the Russian issue.

    1. New polling shows he’s down a few more points. Add to this the sheer number of paid trolls and bots designed to make the base look bigger than it is and we’re talking about a fringe movement made to look much more powerful than it, not unlike Putin’s Russia.
