We pass through this world but once. Few tragedies can be more extensive than the stunting of life, few injustices deeper than the denial of an opportunity to strive or even to hope, by a limit imposed from without, but falsely identified as lying within. ~Stephen Jay Gould, The Mismeasure of Man

Hi Lisa. I’m stressed out by life in the U.S. but I know I’m not alone with that. There are times when the only way to cope is to shut down. So it’s taking me longer to re-design the blog but I’m getting it done. It’s almost there. The last thing I need to do is work out a schedule. Thank you for asking. How are you?

I know what you mean about stress. Things are crazy here in the U.S. I’m doing well. I’ve been working and doing more freelance assignments.

I’m glad you’re OK. Do you use online sites to find work?

Not really. I’ve written for a weekly paper over here for years. Sometimes people find my blog and ask me to do projects.

This is all profoundly true, and profoundly sad.

Have hope, Josh. Democracy is one of human kind’s best ideas. We can do better than accept poverty, ignorance and disease as inevitable and we have.
