London – November 26th, 1988
By the time I went out tonight, Bob had been on my mind much of the day. However, by midnight I had got myself in such a state that I really felt ill.
It was only through a chance meeting with Ian, a friend I hadn’t seen since last year, that my evening got better and the disappointment of Bob not turning up soon subsided. Ian did a great job with cheering me up. We chatted for the rest of the evening, in fact until closing time and, although no firm plans were made, I hope we do meet up again. It’s a shame we lost touch, but London is a big city, and people do get lost and drift apart.
