Rob’s News Wrap Up 01/18-01/25

“Michael Cohen feels like his personal safety has been threatened by President Trump, that’s the kind of anxiety known only by every other person on the planet.” Stephen Colbert

In the last 48 hours, we’ve had a year’s worth of news; this is a big collection of videos.

The standoff between House Democrats and Trump’s lickspittles in the Senate
was a focus of coverage.

Michael Cohen credibly accused of Trump of witness tampering but this got lost
in coverage of the #TrumpShutdown.

Friday we woke to news of the indictment and arrest of Roger Stone.

This was followed by Trump’s capitulation to Nancy Pelosi and the end of
a month long shutdown of the Federal Government.

Trump got no funding for his racist wall.

I’ve added Steven Colbert to the list because I think his political monologues are brilliant.

On a personal note, I’m coming out of a lengthy funk, and feeling good.

  1. Rob, more than anything, I’m glad to hear that you’re feeling better.

I’m glad you added Colbert, because I agree that he’s brilliant. Plus there’s as much real news in his “satire” as any other broadcast. I had not seen the “Haul Ass” clip. Hysterical. It reminded me of something related when I lived in Atlanta during that same time. I just wish people could accept that the KKK and others like them do NOT represent most southerners. And that they would admit that there are huge bigots and racists (like N0. 45) who are not southern.

I need to come back to some of these that I know I didn’t have access to before you posted them here.
The clip that stood out for me was from the millionaire the Squatter in the Oval Office put in charge of the Department which includes my agency… Saying unpaid federal workers should just get a loan… talk about a confederacy of dunces…

Thanks for providing and validating these resources. Hugs on the wing.
