Echo Lake Park
Skyscrapers rise
through the dusty
skies
around Echo
Lake Park.
Ripples of water collide
as children splash and
dive,
and swim to shore.

Well done Rob. Echo Lake? Is that Echo as in Echo Beach, like the song?

I was thinking of Echo Lake Park in Silver lake California, Debby, I took some liberties with the reservoir, which I think is too polluted for swimming. https://www.visitcalifornia.com/attraction/silver-lake

I was there when it was a hot spot for gay writers in the early 1990’s. I know nothing about how the place looks now.

I thought you might find it interesting. The organizers are looking for presenters with trauma histories and I thought of you and ‘Words We Carry’.

Thanks so much Rob. Wouldn’t that be terrific! Sadly, at this time of the world, I choose not to cross the border. 😦

Thanks Kat. I’m reading some of the other takes. So many different stories from one image.

There really were! It is sort of a surreal scene.
