A Note from the Silenced Majority

Thank you to Karen Kleis for sharing this with me.

Trump says he won the election and wants us to “work together” to “Make America Great Again”.

This is our response:

•We will not “work together” to privatize Medicare, cut Social Security and Medicaid.

•We will not “work together” to build a wall.

•We will not “work together” to persecute Muslims.

•We will not “work together” to shut out refugees from other countries.

•We will not “work together” to lower taxes on the 1% and increase taxes on the middle class and poor.

•We will not “work together” to help Trump use the Presidency to enrich himself.

•We will not “work together” to weaken and demolish environmental protection.

•We will not “work together” to sell American lands, especially National Parks, to companies which then despoil those lands.

•We will not “work together” to enable the extinction of other species.

•We will not “work together” to remove the civil rights of other citizens.

•We will not “work together” to subvert our allies and the NATO Alliance.

•We will not “work together” to slash funds for public education.

•We will not “work together” to take essential public services from people
who are poor.

•We will not “work together” to remove sensible gun control.

•We will not “work together” to drop the minimum wage.

•We will not “work together” to destroy the Unions.

•We will not “work together” to suppress and deny scientific fact.

•We will not “work together” to criminalize abortion or restrict health care for women.

•We will not “work together” to increase the proliferation of nuclear weapons.

•We will not “work together” to put even more “big money” into politics.

•We will not “work together” to violate the Geneva Convention.

•We will not “work together” to normalize the vile and uninformed
views of the Ku Klux Klan, the Nazi Party, and white supremacists.

•We will not “work together” to deny health care to people who need it.

•We will not “work together” to weaken food and drug safety.

•We will not “work together” to increase voter suppression.

•We will not “work together” to normalize tyranny.

•We will not “work together” to cut ethical oversight at any level of government.

•We will not “work together”  impose a pipeline for the transport oil on
Sacred Ground for Native Americans.

•We will not “work together” together to promote the lie that American
Democracy is as corrupt as a Russian Oligarchy.

•We will not “work together” together to enable a pathological liar.

•We will not “work together” together to enable a criminal regime.

This is our line and we draw it because words like “winning,” “being great again,” “rich” or even “beautiful” are meaningless when we scapegoat our fellow citizens and degrade our most cherished Democratic values and Institutions.

  1. Rob, this person in the White House has always used a “divisive” business model with his direct reports. He wants them at odds with each other in the belief he can be the decider of what to do. As a retired consultant, this is a horrible business model which leads to chaos and infighting. Plus, the one in charge actually needs to know things and this one prides himself on not reading or studying using his famous gut.

So, he used this divisive model on the American public to get elected and uses it to this day. He cannot unite Americans as he does not know how. Conservative David Brooks said the president “lacks a sense of decency and empathy.”

I like what Steve Schmidt, a former GOP campaign manager for John McCain and Lamar Alexander wrote about Trump being the worst president we have ever had. I also like Mark Cuban telling Sean Hannity that he is voting for Biden as Biden wants to run a country, while the president wants to run a campaign.

I agree with what was written above. I can argue bad policy decisions this president has made with any of his supporters who do not see what damage he has done. He also inherited an economy, jobs growth and stock market that was doing well with 91 consecutive months of economic growth, so he has misled his followers that he did all that.

But, what we must have is a president who will bring us together, help us work together and help restore some of our tarnished reputation abroad. Biden is not perfect, but he will endeavor to do all that, as that is how he governed. Keith

      1. This reminds me, I don’t think I ever gave my blog address, in case you haven’t found it on your own. I reblogged my comment on my blog, hoping it might stir up some action there, but I don’t have many followers. I think I may be too far out in left field to appeal to very many people. But that’s ok, I didn’t want too many anyway, but a few more would be nice, lol. rawgod

  2. I agree with your sentiments, though it is too American for this Canadian. I would be much happier to see you marching in the streets (peacefully, of course), holding rallies to impeach King Donald, DEMAND A NEW ELECTION because the farce that was held in your country in November last is a million times worse than what you allowed Jeb Bush to do in Florida refusing to count the ballots from particular areas of Miami in a previous election. How can anyone give Trump the legitimacy to be called the President of the United States of America? He obviously intends to break up that union as soon as he gets these other policies through Congress. If you let him ride out his four years as president he will do his best to change the law to allow himself to declare the Republic (not Democracy) dead and appoint himself as supreme leader and DICTATOR OF THE WORLD. Just look in his eyes to see how schizophrenic this man is. He has a mental illness and needs to start taking his meds again. Hopefully he will send someone from the CIA to find me in Canada and assassinate me for seeing the future he is planning, total genocide of all Muslims whether they are terrorists or good people, they might have children who will become terrorists, mark my words. If I get killed in whatever fashion, it will be at the Donald’s orders.
Get up off your asses and do something to save yourselves. TAKE ACTION. Otherwise it will be like Eric Burdon sang about on his EVERY ONE OF US album in about 1968. I quote from memory, “Sure, they’re all good people, sitting around saying ‘Aint it a shame. Aint it a shame.’ Good people, at least they call themselves good people… but someone’s got to do something about it… get off of your big fat you-know-whats and MOVE!!!! or there won’t be anyone left”
Obviouisly Eric was not rapping about America in that song, but it’s like he gave me those words to give to you almost 50 years later. Signing a petition is nice, but it won’t fix your problem, our problem, the world’s problem. Hell, why not go all the way and say it’s the universe’s problem, because the air moved by the wings of a butterfly…
The Monarchs are dying by the millions, and soon those beautiful insects may be no more. And if they go, we will go shortly after them. SAVE A MONARCH, IMPEACH DONALD TRUMP!

I’d keep on going, but I gotta go take a shit. I’m filled up to here with all this crap!

  3. I agree with every word and can’t understand or think kindly toward anyone who doesn’t – regardless of their political party beliefs.

    Thanks for posting.

‘I Believe … I believe that Drumpf, his Cabinet and administration, and his Republican enablers in Congress are a real and active threat to me, and to the people I love.”
I believe, I won’t forget and I won’t work together … to advance any of the items in his ‘so-called agenda’ … I simply refuse because my morality and ethics won’t allow me to associate with psychopaths, liars and enemies of this country!

Whatever side you say you’re on you cannot disagree with this. Each of these claims has been shown to be true in such a short space of time. For the sake of all the people these points must be properly addressed and corrected.
