#Politics: The 10 (or more) Top Reasons I Stand with Joe Biden

Trump and his Flying Monkeys are branding average Americans as radical
left-wing extremists. Therefore, I must state what I stand for:

I stand for the principle that all people are equal before the law.

I stand for our right as Americans to have a President who treats us with dignity and respect.

I stand for our centuries-long commitment to building a more perfect Union.

I stand for our military and its right to a Commander in Chief who is worthy of respect.

I stand for healthy children who have plenty to eat and safe schools.

I stand for investing in our future with a fully funded system of public education.

I stand for science over superstition, fact over opinion, and reason over violence.

I stand for a government based on compassion, one that works for all of us.

I stand for American Democracy, our NATO Allies, the Paris Accords and
the Rule of Law.

Therefore I stand with Joe Biden, not because I am a Democrat or a Progressive; I stand with Joe Biden because, as a citizen of a great democracy, I want a President who knows I am somebody,  that my life matters, that my voice counts.

  1. Today is Yom Kippur and I stand with Joe Biden because in a Biden America, all of us, Jewish, Christian, Muslim, Zoroastrian, atheist … you get the point, are the same.

    1. Absolutely, what binds us togther is faith in the vision we call America, because America is much bigger than the United States. We are the custodians of a dream. We are not allowed to let it die. Thanks for leaving a comment. 🙂

      1. Thank you for your suggestion. I can barely keep up with one blog, so two are out of the question. I know politics are a problem for some writers and artists, and I encourage writers to consider if they want the entirety of my blog before following me. The political drives my creative process, so it’s an important part of who I am. Perhaps you can follow me and check your reader to see if I’ve posted art. I post art on #WordlessWednesday, I post poetry on Tuesday and politics on Friday or Saturday. Well, I’ll be: you’ve helped me come up with a schedule. Thank you for your response. 🙂

My sentiments exactly!! … “Therefore I stand with Joe Biden, not because I am a Democrat or a Progressive; I stand with Joe Biden because, as a citizen of a great democracy, I want a President who knows I am somebody, that my life matters, my voice counts.”

  3. Rob, great work. To make it an even dozen, consider the following:

I stand for trustworthy governance that will be truthful to Americans, our allies and other global partners.
I stand for a protected freedom of the press and support the valued work that public servants faithfully perform for its constituents.

    Well done. Keith

      1. Oh Robert, It’s a great insightful article from an American citizen, and I’m happy to hand a copy your thoughts around, and let the Australian people know how ‘most’ of Americans feel about their present situation.. .. 😀😎

      1. I’ve seen some genuinely good leaders who were flawed like the rest of us. I’m no choir boy. But growing up means screwing up. The best we can do are leaders who will take responsibility for their screw-ups and learn from their mistakes. And who try to exemplify the best of their people.
