You have no
No right to
Tell me how to feel.
I do what I must:
I wake up
in the best
Here, where the
mattress is soft
we are bound
by wire and anger:
we are one again.

I was playing with a screen shot of paintings of Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump in a Moscow shop window.
It was from a November 9, 2016 article in the New York Times.
I thought the idealized ‘Trump’ in the painting was funny so I brightend
the image to get a better look.
The painting is a triptych.
Here, I made a little video of it.
We don’t need anyone to tell us what we can clearly see with our own eyes.
Even the Republican ones…
“I have sworn upon the altar of God, eternal hostility against
every form of tyranny over the mind of man.” Thomas Jefferson
Crippled Inside – John Lennon
Imagine – 1971
Here are a few shots from Sunday’s Pride celebration in San Francisco.
I thought about the people I marched with in the GLF in the early 1970’s
and later, with Act–Up, in the 1980’s.
It felt good to hear the speakers honor the work we did in those decades
I thought of friends who passed from AIDS, or later from grief and trauma.
I think they’d be pleased that gay liberation became a global movement
for universal Human rights.
The Rights of People of Color are human rights.
The rights of Immigrants and refugees are human rights.
Women’s rights are human rights.
LGBTQ rights are human rights.
The right to age with dignity and respect is a human right.
The rights of the disabled are human rights.
Love, defiance and pride are strong weapons against hate and tyranny.
