Thoughts for today, #426 …. “Global Conspiracy …. Defeat ‘the donald’ …. “!!

It Is What It Is

~~October 21, 2016~~

There’s nothing that I can say that hasn’t been said already.

The news, the pundits, the writers, the magazines, etc.

You name it.

All I know it that the first time I felt a sinking feeling in my heart was when he started coming down that escalator almost 1 1/2 years ago.

It didn’t get any better when the debates for GOP primaries took place.

As he became the ‘presumptive nominee’, my sinking feeling kept growing and growing.

The three presidential debates cemented my position.

And, to top it all, his performance at the Al Smith Dinner on October 19, was the icing on the cake.

I’m proud to consider myself a member of this global conspiracy.

There’s NO way that this man can represent the country.

This is frightening and full of pain. It’s also beautifully written

Broke In Words

There she kneels.

Shrouded by darkness.

With the weight of her misery,

Hanging her down.

Unable to look up and past the haze.

She fails to see a world beyond the present.

With tears streaking down their well worn path.

The consequence of her life etched onto her palms.

Nails biting into skin in vain to change her destiny.

She gives into her fate.

There she lies.

On the tracks with rocks as her final pillow.

She makes herself comfortable.

She finally see’s the light.

As someone living with a chronic illness and chronic pain, I frequently find myself in the midst of my own unspoken realities. There are so many emotions and symptoms that we keep buried from the rest of the world for any number of reasons. Chronic illness is often accompanied by intense guilt and shame over the things we can’t control no matter how hard we try to and for many of us, the symptoms of our illnesses are invisible. This all too often leads to sufferers being labeled as drug seekers, liars or fakers, and being treated as such only makes matters worse.

Hurt! Are you hurting and have you let all the pain become defining factors in your life? How many of us have let hurt keep us down?

It’s natural for us to feel hurt or disappointed from failures and possibly withdraw into our shells, but the sad thing is that some take it that it’s the way their life is meant to be, thus they remain withdrawn or at best living their lives at half mast.

Remember that the entirety of your life is far bigger than one fall, so you must keep rising. Remember that odd circumstance could just be a detour that could always turn around.

Remember that those deliberate negative aims from others are just in a bid to keep you where they feel most comfortable ‘under their thumb.’

Ask yourself. Is that where you deserve to belong?

Next week, I’ll share a post on how to…
