Rob’s Weekly News Wrap Up 3/02-3/08

It was a frustrating week of endless disclosures of Trump Family Crimes closing with Trump’s abuse of  power to retaliate against Michael Cohen after signing Bibles for tornado victims who thank God for a president who denies climate change.

How is this horrible man still President?

This is NOT Normal.

Meanwhile Trump crony and co-conspirator, Paul Manafort, got four years in for
crimes that would have most of us in prison for most of our lives.

On a personal note, I felt unsafe walking around the City with a Canon DSLR and told a friend I was shopping for a phone with a powerful camera. She surprised me with a Galaxy S10 I. I’m grateful to have friends who support my work. I’ll use the weekend to learn my new tool and use the photos for #WordlessWednesday 🙂

update 03/03/19

I just learned that the formatting of this post got wonky and needed fixing.
My apologies for whatever it was that caused it.  The post looks fixed now.

This was a week of truth-telling and hypocrisy as Congressional Hearings opened on Wednesday with a day’s worth of public testimony from Trump’s former lawyer, Michael Cohen.

My take? GOP congressional reps don’t know who they work for or why they were hired.

Trump’s visit to Viet Nam with North Korea’s Kim Jong-un ended with the president looking like a fool when he left early and defended the brutal autocrat’s murder of an American citizen.

Friday opened with news of breaches of National Security at the highest levels of government because the President gives high-level security clearance to family members.

Oh yes, and Jussie Smollett:

On a personal note, it was a busy week, my podcast with Matt Pappas at Beyond Your Past went live. I’ve also upgraded my video software and other equipment so I have some studying to do.

Rob’s Weekly Wrap-up 02/15-02/22

This week started with much ado about Trump’s Fake Emergency followed by the stark midweek revelation from Andrew McCabe that trump is a suspected enemy agent, at best, unwitting. In the meantime North Carolina gets a new congressional election, the FBI arrested a violent white supremacist for planning to unleash a chemical weapons attack against everyone on Trump’s political hit list, a judge gagged Roger Stone and Robert Mueller is and is not soon to release his report on #TrumpRussia, maybe.

On a personal note, therapy is rough as I come to terms with the years I lost to my illness.

Rob’s Weekly News Wrap-up 2/08-2/15

Trump’s corruption, lies, psychopathology, and possible participation in a conspiracy to steal the 2016 election dominated this week’s news cycle.

Trump dramatically declared a national emergency when he submitted to Nancy Pelosi and signed her bill to keep the government open without funding for his racist wall.

The important news this week is from the Mueller investigation:

and we have a new Attorney General:

On Friday we had another preventable mass shooting.

On a personal note, I had a productive week, a couple of my projects took place
off-line for a few days so I could not blog, but I’m back now.

Rob’s News Wrap Up 01/18-01/25

“Michael Cohen feels like his personal safety has been threatened by President Trump, that’s the kind of anxiety known only by every other person on the planet.” Stephen Colbert

In the last 48 hours, we’ve had a year’s worth of news; this is a big collection of videos.

The standoff between House Democrats and Trump’s lickspittles in the Senate
was a focus of coverage.

Michael Cohen credibly accused of Trump of witness tampering but this got lost
in coverage of the #TrumpShutdown.

Friday we woke to news of the indictment and arrest of Roger Stone.

Read Mueller’s Indictment of Stone on LawFare

This was followed by Trump’s capitulation to Nancy Pelosi and the end of
a month long shutdown of the Federal Government.

Trump got no funding for his racist wall.

I’ve added Steven Colbert to the list because I think his political monologues are brilliant.

On a personal note, I’m coming out of a lengthy funk, and feeling good.
