No matter how we’re traveling, I’m happy to share the journey with you.  My heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you for sticking with me throughout 2018 — from the last episodes of the faery serial, Thistledown – Midsummer Bedlam, to short stories of the Pip-verse for Jazz Age Wednesdays, to a completely different 1920s serial Hullaba Lulu with artist Rob Goldstein, to the launch of Atonement in Bloom, to reruns of this steampunk serial. You, each one of you, made it a wondrous year for me.

Ripple and Promise

Ripple and Promise from Jemverse

Jemverse

A ripple on the water
caught my eye today
Squinting in the sunlight
with the New Year underway

In my imagination
I saw hope and promise there
Heralding a brand new start
Reflected in the glare

So I’m trusting to its promise
That hope will stay this year
Like the sunlight on the water
Replete with joy and cheer

The Holiday Leibster Award

liebster-award

This Leibster Award comes to me from PalFitness and Sheri at broken fingernails

I will use the rules of the nomination and the questions from PalFitness except that I will add a few more nominees.

His rules are to nominate five people, answer five questions, and ask five questions of my nominees.

His questions:

  1. Do you prefer playing games online or watching movies?

    Watching movies.

  2. What type of music is your favorite?

I like everything including country. My favorite depends on my mood.

  3. Tell us more about yourself, things never mentioned and somewhat secret.

I love to learn and consider education essential to a full life. I have no patience for people who equate ignorance with innocence.

  4. We are all special here, what makes you special?

Nothing makes me special. I’m an average guy blessed with a particular set of gifts. I think this is true of everyone.

What is your favorite thing to do and favorite person to spend time?

I like to spend time with my partner; even when we are in different rooms of our apartment, life always feels better when he’s home.

My nominees:

From Food Stamps To A Future

FEARING CRAZY

  2. How is adulthood different from what you imagined it as a child?

  3. I saw this question asked on Facebook: Would you give up social networking to save a relationship?

  4. What is your greatest hope as we enter 2016?

As usual, no one is required to accept this award. I offer it as a token of my respect for your work as a blogger.
