Brother Love cover Jinx on phoneJinx on rotary phone next to “Brother Love – a Crossroad” on my Kindle.

I was so impulsive in deciding to quickly “bookize” the serial that I didn’t plan ahead for a launch or promotions.  So I begin by repeating my thanks to Sally G. Cronin for announcing Brother Love – a Crossroad at her blog earlier this week.

My weekend post included a give away of an e-book of the novella.  I numbered your comments and used a random number generator to select the winner.

… And the winner is….. Dyanna Wyndesong!

Dyanna publishes Ravenhawks Magazine.  Be sure to click over and say hello.

Meanwhile, I’ve just done a podcast.  The amazing Annette Rochelle Aben hosted me for a fun chat.  We discussed “Brother Love” and several other things.  I even brought her into my writing process by playing my three things writing exercise…

Happy Fourth of July!

From Birdie, Jinx, and me

Summertime is busy for many people.  I know it’s hard to keep up with serials. So, I’m even more grateful that you read Brother Love.

In the USA, lots of folks will be taking time off and/or vacationing before, during, and after the Independence Day holiday.  (I know, from having been a kid with a birthday during that time, how scarce people are.)  I had not planned to, but I’m taking a break this weekend.

Speaking of that, many happy returns to my birthday sibling, Christoph Fischer!  It’s almost our day.

Next weekend I’ll be back with more photos from Dan Antion of No Facilities fame, as well as Brother Love, Chapter 10 — A Cut.

To tide you over, here’s a teaser from the next…

Wednesday, June 26, 2019

Hi there, shieks and shebas. Welcome to Jazz Age Wednesdays.  Horsefeathers!  Look at that date…  June is more than half over, and I still haven’t gotten back to work on finalizing my third Roaring Twenties novel about Pip and Granny.

Maybe it’s hard to have my head in two different eras at once (meaning the Brother Love serial is set in the late 1950s).  Maybe it’s that I’ve had “issues” (I’ve blogged about some) in my new location.  Maybe it’s a lot of work for one person to move across the country, and do all the work of settling into an older home.  (At this rate it will take me two years.)

Anyhow, I’ll stop beating my gums and get to the point.  While I try to get back to the Jazz Age and finalize A Ghost in the…

English is an amazing language.  It’s amazing because with words that have the same spelling as another word but have a different sound and a different meaning and then words that have the same sound as another word but are spelled differently and have a different meaning… Well, it’s a wonder we can communicate with one another at all.

Then we added to the chaos when words came to mean different things depending on the country in which you live…  but of course, that confusion can sometimes be entertaining!
